Hear them celebrate the holiday season in our beautiful sanctuary with beloved traditional carols as well as festive new arrangements of sacred and secular Christmas favorites, all accompanied on our famed pipe organ.

We begin the season celebrating the momentous birthdays of two choral giants: Alice Parker (1925-2023) and G. P. da Palestrina (1525-1594). In addition to works by these luminaries, we offer two sublime motets by J. S. Bach, "Jesu, meine Freude" and "Der Geist hilft unser Schwachheit auf."
In this candlelit, immersive performance led by Music Director Kent Tritle, singers move in, among, and around the audience, creating a breathtaking wall of sound that envelops you from every direction at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine.
Tania León is a lauded composer, conductor, educator, arts advocate, and the newest recipient of the William Schuman Award of Columbia University School of the Arts. Jackson joins the event at the composers request to perform her work “In the Field”.
Franz Schubert's sacred music for choir and orchestra carries the torch of Viennese Classicism passed to him by Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven. Jackson performs as the soprano soloist.

Jackson joins Berkshire Bach in the role of Belinda for a concerted presentation of Henry Purcell’s opera Dido and Aeneas, led by BBS choral director James Bagwell.
Following the acclaim from last year’s SurRound concert, this immersive concert will feature choral works in direct dialogue with the many acoustics of the Cathedral of St. John Divine, as singers move in, among, and around the audience for a truly thrilling and unforgettable experience.
St. Bartholomew's Choir and chamber orchestra will offer Mozart’s Missa Brevis in F, K. 192, as well as the “Laudate Pueri” movement from his Solemn Vespers.
